Our Work – Examples
When: spring 2026
A visit to the studio of Petr Nikl offered a unique insight into the world of interdisciplinary art, where visual creation naturally intertwines with music, literature, theatre, movement, and elements of drama education. The program presented the work of a versatile artist for whom not only the final artwork is important, but above all the process of discovery, experimentation, and play. The children encountered unconventional musical instruments and sound objects created directly in the artist’s studio, expanding the idea of what can be considered part of music and visual expression. The program also included a playful puppet and performative performance enriched with sound and visual elements, which naturally drew participants into the unfolding action. Interactive moments allowed the children to actively engage with sound, voice, and small objects, becoming part of a shared creative space. At the end, there was time to view selected works and take part in an open discussion. The entire experience offered an inspiring example of how different artistic disciplines within the educational field of Art and Culture can be interconnected into a living, naturally flowing experience.
When: spring 2026
The program offered students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of large-format art and experience an unconventional approach to visual arts under the guidance of Marianna Stránská. During the workshop, the children worked with emotions, space, and their own imagination while collaboratively creating original large-scale artworks. The entire event was carried out in an inspiring and creative atmosphere that encouraged cooperation, creativity, and the courage to experiment. The program also served as a reward for the students’ work within an integrated science and art education project, implemented in cooperation with the National Pedagogical Institute as part of the pilot verification of the RVP curriculum reform.
Theme: inspired by the work of Czech cross-disciplinary artist Petr Nikl
Guest lectors: Markéta Zabelová, Iva Ščerbáková
Pilot implementation: Autumn 2025
This integrated arts education project connects natural science and visual arts, linking school learning with creative experience. Pupils explore the world of animals and nature through movement, experimental painting and collective creation. Based on these experiences, they create their own leporellos—original author’s books—in which they process natural science topics in line with the current curriculum, combining factual knowledge with imagination and illustration. The project develops empathy, creativity and cooperation, and emphasises experiential learning and interdisciplinary connections. The final presentation showcases the children’s unique stories and their view of nature as a work of art.
Guest: Orff Schulwerk with Kateřina Judová
and Dita Votavová
When (pilotly): Spring 2025
This integrated arts education project for grades 1–5 connects school subjects with living culture and creative experience. Pupils explore different meanings of home—as a place of safety, memories, and change—and learn to perceive it not only as a space but also as a relationship and a feeling. Through literary, visual, musical, movement, and drama activities inspired by the principles of Orff Schulwerk, they develop creativity, cooperation, and empathy. The project emphasizes experiential learning and interdisciplinary links and culminates in a shared presentation—a celebration, exhibition, or performance—where children share their experiences of home.
Guest artist: Vladimir 518 - Czech polymath in art, music, and architecture Pilot implementation: Autumn 2024
When (pilotly): Autumn 2024
This integrated arts education project connects school subjects with living culture. Through the theme of public space, pupils prepare for a meeting with Vladimir 518, explore his work and learn to formulate questions that genuinely matter to them. Using rap, graffiti and subcultures, they examine how art can intervene in public space, discuss ambivalent social topics, and discover ways to actively engage in contemporary art and positively influence their environment.
