What We Offer & How to Get Involved
In the newly revised national curriculum (RVP, Ministry of Education / NPI), three types of model school curricula (ŠVP) are used in pilot testing:
Subject-based model — a traditional structure by individual subjects
Integrated model — combines several educational fields into broader integrated subjects
Thematic model — teaching is organized around cross-disciplinary themes rather than individual subject
For Schools
Please contact us. We cooperate with school founders (municipalities or city districts) as well as with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and the National Pedagogical Institute. We actively seek public funding opportunities for the programme. For greater impact and sustainability, the involvement of multiple classes or schools is recommended.
For Artists
If you are an artist, cultural institution or association interested in joining the programme, please contact us. Participation requires professional competence, agreement with the programme’s core principles, and availability during morning school hours. The programme is based on non-recruitment principles (no enrolling pupils into private courses), is inclusive of all pupils regardless of prior experience, and emphasises close collaboration with classroom teachers and adherence to the programme methodology. Artists are expected to respect lesson structures, adapt activities to different levels of experience, communicate openly with teachers and fellow artists, and take part in ongoing internal training.
For Municipal and Local Government Representatives
The introduction of the Artists in Schools programme begins with its presentation to the school founder and the local education authority. This is followed by meetings with school principals to discuss integration into the national curriculum (RVP), school-level curricula (ŠVP) and school timetables. The next step involves connecting schools with artists and cultural institutions that agree with the programme’s principles. Funding arrangements are agreed with the founder and may be complemented by other public support schemes. Teachers and artists participate in methodological training, after which implementation schedules, materials and organisational arrangements are prepared. The programme is initially launched as a pilot phase to ensure quality and effective cooperation, and subsequently transitions into regular operation with ongoing evaluation. Administrative processes—including contracts, reporting, evaluation and continuing professional development—are an integral part of the programme.
For Parents
If you wish to support the Artists in Schools programme, contact us and follow our activities on social media. For the programme to be introduced at your child’s school, interest must be expressed by the school itself and its founder.
