What We Offer & How to Get Involved
In the newly revised national curriculum (RVP, Ministry of Education / NPI), three types of model school curricula (ŠVP) are used in pilot testing:
Subject-based model — a traditional structure by individual subjects
Integrated model — combines several educational fields into broader integrated subjects
Thematic model — teaching is organized around cross-disciplinary themes rather than individual subject
For Schools
If you are interested, please contact us; we cooperate with school founders (cities or districts) as well as with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, and the NPI. We actively seek funding opportunities for the program. For more effective operation, it is advisable to involve multiple classes or several schools at once.
For Artists
If you are an artist, cultural institution, or association interested in joining the program, you are welcome to contact us. Requirements include professional qualifications, agreement with the program’s core principles, and availability for morning classes. The program emphasizes non-recruitment (no enrolling children into private courses), inclusion of all pupils regardless of prior experience, close collaboration with the classroom teacher, and work according to the program methodology. We also value respect for lesson structure, adapting challenges to pupils of different levels, open communication with teachers and other artists, and regular participation in internal training.
For Municipal or Local Government Representatives
Launching the Artists in Schools program begins with presenting the program to the school founder and the education department. This is followed by a meeting with school principals to discuss ways of integrating the program into the RVP, ŠVP, and school timetables. The next step is connecting with artists and cultural institutions that agree to the program’s conditions. Funding is agreed with the founder, potentially supplemented by other available public support. Teachers and artists undergo training in the program methodology. Schedules, materials, and organizational arrangements are then prepared. The program is first launched as a pilot to verify cooperation and teaching quality, and later transitions into regular operation with ongoing evaluation. Administrative requirements are also included—contracts, reports, evaluations, and further training.
For Parents
If you would like to support the Artists in Schools program, you can follow us on social media. If you wish for the program to operate at your child’s primary school, the school itself and its founder must express interest in implementing it.
